Philadelphia Orchestra announces 26/27 Season

Including the world premier of Esmail Concerto for Orchestra (co-commissioned with San Francisco Symphony) to premiere in May 2027, conducted by Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin

Reena Esmail

Esmail is a composer of orchestra, choir, band and chamber music. She was the Los Angeles Master Chorale’s 2020-25 Artist-in-Residence, and Seattle Symphony’s 2020-21 Composer-in-Residence. Her music has appeared on multiple GRAMMY nominated albums, and has been performed all over the world. She lives in Altadena, CA.
